What is the purpose of a classroom newsletter?

The purpose of a classroom newsletters is to keep parents informed about what's going on in our  classroom. They not only keep families updated about what is going on in the classroom on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, but they also help to establish classroom community.

Every week, I like to send a print copy home with my students, but I also send it electronically. When I send information home in many methods, I find that most of the parents receive the classroom newsletter and get informed.
