Las Partes del Cuerpo: Fun Games, Posters, and Activities for Teaching Body Parts in Spanish

Engaging activities to teach las partes del cuerpo in Spanish: body parts puzzles, Bingo game, clothespin matching activity, and classroom posters.

Teaching body parts in Spanish (las partes del cuerpo) doesn’t have to feel repetitive or boring. With the right resources, you can get your students moving, talking, and excited about learning vocabulary they’ll use every day.
I use these resources in my classroom every year, and they’ve made such a difference. Whether you’re in a dual language program, an immersion setting, or a Spanish class, these activities keep students engaged while mastering las partes del cuerpo.

Why Teach Las Partes del Cuerpo?

Learning las partes del cuerpo is more than memorizing words—it gives students the language they need for everyday situations. Kids can:

  • Describe how they feel (“Me duele la cabeza”).
  • Ask for help when something hurts.
  • Make real-life connections between Spanish and their own bodies.

And the best part? These lessons naturally include movement! When we practice las partes del cuerpo, my students are pointing, moving, singing, and laughing while learning.

Las Partes del Cuerpo Games and Activities

Games are my go-to for vocabulary practice. They’re active, interactive, and keep students motivated.
All of the following activities are part of my Body Parts in Spanish Bundle. If you love saving time and money, the bundle is the easiest way to get everything in one place.

 1.Las Partes del Cuerpo Bingo

Who doesn’t love Bingo? This game turns vocabulary practice into a favorite classroom activity. Students listen carefully, mark their cards, and reinforce body parts in Spanish while having fun.

2. Juego con Pinzas – Clothespin Game

This hands-on game is always a hit! Students use clothespins to match words to pictures of las partes del cuerpo, strengthening fine motor skills while reviewing vocabulary. They love racing each other to see who can finish first!

3. I Have… Who Has? Las Partes del Cuerpo

A whole-class favorite! Each student has a card and must listen carefully to match it with a classmate’s card. It keeps everyone engaged and practicing body parts in Spanish through listening and speaking..

4.Las Partes del Cuerpo | Body Parts in Spanish Emergent Readers

I’ve found these Emergent Readers to be one of the easiest and most effective ways to introduce las partes del cuerpo to my kinders. The simple, repetitive sentences give them the confidence to read in Spanish on their own, and the visuals provide just the right amount of support. Each page begins with “Me duele…”, so instead of just memorizing words, students are actually using the vocabulary in a way that feels real and meaningful.

What I love most is the flexibility. The set comes in both color and black-and-white, so I can use them in whole group, small group, or even send them home for extra practice. And the Cut and Paste Reader is always a hit—kids get to read, match, and glue the correct picture, which keeps them engaged while reinforcing comprehension. It’s such a simple activity, but it works beautifully as a literacy center for practicing body parts in Spanish.

Every time I use these readers, I notice my students naturally slipping body part vocabulary into their conversations and partner activities—it’s such a great confidence booster!

5. Las Partes del Cuerpo Memory Game

Simple, but so effective. Students flip cards to match words to pictures (or pictures to pictures). It’s quick to set up, perfect for small groups, and kids ask to play it again and again.

6.¿Qué te duele? Pocket Chart – Las Partes del Cuerpo

¿Qué te duele? Pocket Chart is one of my go-to activities for helping students move beyond naming las partes del cuerpo and actually using them in sentences. With picture cards, they practice asking and answering “¿Qué te duele?”—turning vocabulary into real, meaningful conversations.
Every time I use this chart, I notice students starting to use the same phrases during pretend play and transitions—it’s proof that the vocabulary is really sticking.

My students love role-playing as the “doctor” and the “patient.” It always sparks laughter, keeps them listening closely, and makes the practice memorable. This activity works well in Spanish, dual language, bilingual, and ESL classrooms because it builds confidence with full Spanish sentences while reinforcing body parts vocabulary.

7.Las Partes del Cuerpo – Body Parts Puzzles in Spanish

These Body Parts Puzzles in Spanish are a hands-on way for students to practice las partes del cuerpo. Instead of just drilling flashcards, kids match the Spanish word to the correct picture, which makes the practice more meaningful and interactive.

I usually print them on cardstock, laminate them, and keep them from year to year. Once the pieces are cut apart, they’re quick to set up and easy for students to use on their own or with a partner. What I like most is how engaged students stay while working with them—and I’ve noticed they recall the vocabulary much faster after practicing with the puzzles.

8. Las Partes del Cuerpo Flip Book

The Body Parts in Spanish Flip Book is a fun way for students to learn las partes del cuerpo! Just copy the pages, cut them out, and staple them together.

Students can take the flip book home to share with their families, helping them practice identifying body parts in Spanish. It’s a simple and engaging resource for reinforcing vocabulary!

Classroom Visuals for Teaching Las Partes del Cuerpo

Body Parts Posters and Visual Aids

Bright, kid-friendly posters keep las partes del cuerpo visible all year. Hang them by your word wall, writing center, or carpet area so students can quickly reference body parts in Spanish during read-alouds, partner talk, and centers. Consistent visuals = faster recall and stronger vocabulary—and these posters are included in the Body Parts in Spanish Bundle.

Los Cinco Sentidos | Five Senses Posters in Spanish – Free Resource

These colorful posters help students learn the five senses in Spanish—smell, taste, touch, hearing, and sight. Each poster shows the sense, the organ, and the action, making it a perfect visual aid for your classroom.

I like to hang them near our science area or reading corner so students can reference them throughout the day. Available in two sizes, they’re a flexible option for dual language, immersion, or Spanish classrooms. Best of all—they’re completely free!

Las Partes del Cuerpo Videos

I’ve found that videos are one of the easiest ways to keep kids active and engaged while learning. These are my go-to choices for teaching las partes del cuerpo. Each one reinforces vocabulary through music and movement, which helps students remember the words long after the lesson is over. Plus, they make learning fun—which is always a win!
