Awesome Hands-on Science Centers in Spanish That Your Students Will Love

Get ready to learn all about animal groups with hands-on science activities your students will love!

Animal Groups Posters in Spanish

These colorful, engaging posters are perfect to introduce, reinforce, or review information about each classification of animal. These are a great resource for students, either hanging up in the classroom or placed in a science notebook.

Each poster features one animal group and a list of basic characteristics of that animal group. They are perfect for reference folders/anchor charts.

Animal Classification Sort in Spanish

Once your students learn each of the basic characteristics, they can do a sorting activity. Students will sort the animals into the correct category: mamíferos, peces, aves, anfibios, and reptiles.

I use real animal photographs for this sorting activity. Each animal card is labeled with the animal's name.
This is a great supplement for teachers to review/assess skills, and for students to strengthen their knowledge of animal classification.

Animal Classification Flip Books in Spanish

Your students can create flipbooks to help them remember the characteristics of the different animal groups. Each flip book (colored and black & white versions)  has 7 basic facts and an illustration that pertains to each animal group.
